Red Hills Wild Quail Hunting Experience for Two Shooters

Two half-day horseback hunts behind bird dogs, one at Woodfield Springs Plantation and one at Livingston Place, with a meal and a night at Livingston Place Manor.

You and a guest will enjoy two half-day horseback wild quail hunts in Florida’s renowned Red Hills region: one at Woodfield Springs Plantation and one at Tall Timbers’ historic sister property, Livingston Place.

Renowned for its exceptional wild quail habitat, beautiful landscape, and deep sporting traditions, the Red Hills offers an unforgettable setting for classic horseback hunting behind skilled bird dogs. At Woodfield Springs Plantation you will experience the beauty and tradition of a fifth-generation working wild quail plantation, where thoughtfully managed habitat provides ideal conditions for wild quail and an authentic Red Hills hunting experience, shooting over field-trial English pointers from the mule-drawn wagon or from expertly trained shooting ponies, whichever you prefer.

Your second hunt takes you to Livingston Place, a property equally steeped in the region’s sporting heritage and celebrated for its exceptional wild quail habitat. Located between Thomasville, Georgia, the wild quail capital of the Southeast, and Monticello, Florida, the 9,000-acre Livingston Place has been home to the prestigious Continental Field Trial for more than 100 years. The property is renowned for its thriving wild quail population, carefully managed habitat, and enduring connection to the sporting traditions of the Red Hills.

Following your hunt at Livingston Place, you and your guest will enjoy a meal and overnight accommodations at Livingston Place Manor. Designed by John Russell Pope and completed in 1940, the 14,200-square-foot manor embodies the history and gracious hospitality of this extraordinary property. Pope also designed the National Archives, the Jefferson Memorial, and the West Building of the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Guests will enjoy the manor’s finely appointed accommodations, gun room, trophy room, and distinctive bar.
